Choosing an Outdoor Sauna: Space, Layout and Finishes

Plan your Outdoor Sauna around its footprint, capacity, interior layout and finishes. Prepare the details needed for a model-specific quotation.

Choose the room around how you will use it

Start with the number of people who will normally use the Sauna and the kind of space you want in the garden. Compare the advertised capacity with the interior layout, glazing and entrance position. A larger external footprint may include additional space rather than simply more seating.

Review each model's dimensions and layout rather than relying on a lifestyle image. Some images are architectural visualisations; they help explain the design but should not be read as a record of a completed installation or a guarantee of the surrounding landscaping.

Check the footprint and access

Measure the proposed position and consider the route from your delivery point. Share gate widths, turns, steps and overhead obstructions, along with photographs. Ask the team to confirm the base requirements and how the selected model will be delivered and installed.

Consider the entrance, maintenance access and the relationship with the rest of your garden. Keep the position and service connections in the discussion from the start, so the design and installation plan can be reviewed together.

Compare materials and the final specification

Where a model offers material choices, compare the exterior cladding and interior timber separately. Photographs and swatches are useful for shortlisting, but confirm the available finish and what is included in your quotation.

Ask which heater and controls are specified, what services they require and whether any pictured features are optional. The product page is a starting point; your final quotation should identify the exact configuration being supplied.

Prepare a useful enquiry

Send the model name, postcode, approximate available dimensions, access photographs and preferred timing. Include any material preferences and questions about installation. If a model is priced on enquiry, request a complete quotation rather than assuming the price of a similar-looking model applies.

Before commissioning the work, confirm any property-specific permissions or restrictions with the appropriate authority or adviser. Discuss what site preparation is included, who handles service connections and what aftercare guidance accompanies your Sauna.
